At its core, Rezound is formed by a trio of close friends from Australia who all reside in Berlin: Greg Ambroisine, Richard Maegraith, and Will Pethick. For every performance, the group invites a special guest from around the world, shaping a quartet that is constantly evolving and discovering new sonic possibilities.

Rezound is a jazz ensemble made up exclusively of wind instruments, with no traditional rhythm section. There is no drummer to hold time and no bass to anchor the form; instead, the entire ensemble collectively assumes the role of the rhythm section. This purely acoustic approach results in a clear, intimate, and distinctive sound. The music blends free improvisation with original compositions, creating a dynamic balance between structure and spontaneity.
In 2026, Rezound is planning a German tour in May and is preparing to release two new albums featuring remarkable guest artists, Australian saxophonist Julien Wilson and South African trumpeter Darren English.

Darren English

Silke Eberhard

For Rezound, the true beauty of music lies not in flashy displays of technique, but in the genuine connection and communication that unfolds between musicians. Their music stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and to the profound impact sound can have on the human spirit.
